Holler down my rain barrel!

Wow. It has been raining here since Tuesday night. We had a small break today and the sun even came out, but the rain has returned and looks to be staying for a while. That is probably the best news. We have also been dealing with the flu bug since Tuesday night. First, our nine year old came down with the nasty little bugger and by Thursday, our 11 year old had it as well. The rain has just added to the gloom of these last few days , but has made staying in doors less painful. We have definitely gotten some naps. However, for a family that loves being outside, this is getting a bit wearisome. If we had gotten around to hooking up our rain barrel at the new house, we would be full for sure. Rain like this always makes me think of that fun song my mom used to sing to me from her childhood: "Ci Ci my playmate, come out and play with me, and bring your dollies three..."
